Micronutrients, including vitamin C, D and E, b-carotene, zinc, folate, D-aspartic acid (D-AA), selenium, coenzyme Q10, and L -carnitine, are essential for sperm health​ and are included in fertility supplements at varied quantities.​

Some manufacturers include additional ingredients, which are thought to enhance sperm motility or vitality but have not been shown in any study to be clinically relevant. These include ginseng, maca root, taurine, omega-3, or grape seed extract. 

You would notice that products that have these additional ingredients are more expensive. However, unless you have the budget to buy these more expensive products, you’ll be fine with one that contains essential micronutrients that have been shown to positively impact sperm health.

For example, an experiment on animal models​ suggested that ginseng extract caused significant improvements in fertility parameters (semen volume, sperm count, motility, and morphology​) and testicular structure. However, there is no evidence yet that ginseng extracts improves fertility in humans.
